Interior Accessories
You love driving your Jeep Patriot everywhere you can. It’s sporty and you love the way it drives, and also the way it looks. And with that, you probably love carrying various things with you as well. You already have the hitch mount for your bikes, and you have the roof mount for your skis, so what is next? Well, your big hairball of a dog would love to join you on your trips, right? But you don’t want him jumping from seat to seat while you are driving, that just isn’t safe. So hook up the Vertical Convenience Cargo Net. It will keep that pup securely kept in the back while you are driving safely up front. Make the pup a little more comfortable with the Cargo Area Dog Bed Mat. That might make the pooch quiet and ready for a snooze. Next in line are the seat covers! With a doggie in the Patriot, you don’t want the dog hair to ruin your seats! So cover them up with these seat covers special for your Jeep. Not to mention the doggie stench that might come along with it. Equip the interior of your Patriot for those trips you have wanted to take! Add these few accessories to it and enjoy your Patriot that much more. Labels: accessories, patriot

Accessories for your Patriot
Nothing says sporty like Jeeps. They are perfect for those trips you take to hike, or go biking. But if you were to go biking, you would need a bike rack, right? And if you go canoeing or skiing, you are going to need a roof carrier. So for your Patriot, we have what you need for those carrying needs. First off, we have the Bicycle Hitch Mount Carrier. This hitch mount holds your bikes securely to the back of your Patriot by placing it in the hitch receiver. It installs in seconds, and folds up easily for storage when you are not using it. You have your choice of whether you want the hitch carrier to hold two bikes or four. Next, we have the Roof-Mount Ski and Snowboard Carrier. Who doesn’t love to ski? This roof mount will carry up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards. The openings on the sides allows for easy loading and unloading. So go ski or go for a bike ride. Keep up with the sporty theme and add these mounts to your Patriot. With how easy they are to install, there really is no reason not to! Labels: accessories, patriot, travel

Take the Hazards Out of Talking on the Cell Phone When Driving
Almost everyone can relate to this scenario: you're driving along down the street and suddenly someone swerves out in front of you - you speed up just a little to give them "the look" and you see they still don't have a clue you're even there - they're too busy trying to balance a tiny cell phone on their ear and have a conversation while driving! No matter how good your driving skills are, anyone can become distracted and become a road hazard if you attempt to hold a cell phone when driving. Common sense will tell you it's never a good idea to talk on the cell phone when you're driving but sometimes it can't be helped. If you work and especially if you're in a position where you have frequent contact with the public, you're going to be in heavy communication as a result of your job. By the very nature of an emergency, they can't be conveniently scheduled and if you have a personal or business crisis happen; someone will need to reach you immediately. Instead of being a hazard on the road, become the good example. If you have a Jeep year model 2002 or better, you can use some great hands free cell phone technology. UConnect is the exclusive voice-activated, hands-free, in-vehicle communications system for your Jeep and it just uses a small control pad, microphone and speaker. You don't have to take your hands off the wheel of your Jeep to dial or answer you cell phone as it is voice activated. Additionally, the UConnect system will automatically lower or mute your stereo if it is playing so you don't have to fiddle with turning the music down when you're driving. It allows you to store up to 32 names and four numbers per name (128 entries) in the system's phone book, and is flexible enough for an entire family (up to five phones can be linked to the system). With just a little technological addition to your Jeep, it's possible to be a safe and connected driver when you use the hands free technology that allows you to still get important calls but your hands and eyes will be safely on the road. Cold Weather is Coming - Are You Prepared in Case You're Stranded?
It doesn't matter if you have the newest model Wrangler or a Jeep that is years and years old. You can get stranded and while you're waiting for help, during the colder months it's essential that you have items available to keep yourself and your family or traveling companions warm until you can get out of the situation. First of all, put together your own little kit and keep it in your Jeep at all times. Put a few thermal blankets, an LED lantern that runs on batteries not fuel, jumper cables, a basic tool kit, band aids, duct tape, electrical tape, a heavy duty tow strap, road side flairs, a "Help Call Police" sign for your windshield another type of sign that gets a quick response from passing motorists is "Children Inside - Call Police", portable warmers (like hunters and military personnel use) and some people even pick up MRE's (military ready to eat meals) and put them in their Jeep-just in case. The MRE's have a shelf life of years so you can toss a few in your kit and forget about them, additionally many MRE's have a self heating feature so you can warm your insides while you're waiting for help. In the event you are stranded and you are unable to get a signal on your cell phone, you may wind up spending the night in a cold and dark place. Also make sure a crank battery is part of your kit. You can recharge a cellphone, power lights and other items, even if your battery is dead. Just a few turns of the crank and you've generated electricity. If you're traveling with kids, they will feel a lot better if you have a lantern handy and everyone can cuddle up with extra blankets. If there is a chance of traffic on the road you're on - put up the sign in your windshield and you can use a roadside flair to make sure your vehicle is visible to any traffic passing by. You can stay warm by popping open the warmers and given one to each child. The warmers work by creating a chemical reaction that will generate heat for roughly two hours. They are available in most military and outdoor supply stores. When you're stocking your roadside kit - stock enough for an overnight stay for at least 3-4 people so you have enough to keep everyone warm throughout the night if you may be stranded that long. There are a lot of things you can do to prepare for the unexpected. Your Jeep was built to handle the most extreme of conditions, however there may come a situation where are you stranded for a while and it's for those times you need to be prepared so you can get through being stranded in safety and a minimum of stress. A Guide Along the Way That Never Sleeps
One of the best things about owning a Jeep is you're never forced to stay on the paved road and you can exploring and find your own roads to travel. If you love to camp and spend time outdoors you can take advantage of the many 4-wheeling trails made for Jeeps and explore the wilder side of the trail on your own terms. A great way to spend a weekend with your family is to bring along the tailgate attaching tent, your Jeep bicycles and find a remote place in the woods to go camping. Forget the crowded campgrounds and find a place where your family can camp in quiet, peaceful solitude. Many national forests and state managed lands have campsites scattered around many areas of the forest and some are remote enough that unless you have the 4-wheel drive power of a Jeep, you won't be able to make to the campsite. You don't need a lot to go camping. Just your tent, light sources such as a couple of LED lanterns, food that is stored in a couple of coolers, water, personal toiletries and materials for a contained fire to gather around at night. You can spend a fun weekend camping and get away from the hassles of everyday life, the yard work, cell phones, extra-curricular activities and stresses from your work life can all be placed on hold as you enjoy rediscovering spending time with your family. http://store.yahoo.com/yhst-83673118800219/trgunasy.html">A trail guide is a very handy gadget to along as you explore. It can actually show you where you are on the trail and what to expect. Let your Jeep show you what it can really do and the next weekend outing you plan for your family - make it a wilderness adventure that everyone will enjoy and when you get lost, it will be on purpose!
